Samarium cobalt magnet is a kind of rare-earth magnet, which is made of samarium, cobalt and other metal materials by proportioning, dissolving and smelting into alloy, and then crushed, pressed and sintered, and then made into a kind of magnetic tool material, which has high magnetic energy product, very low temperature coefficient, and the highest working temperature can be up to 350℃, and the negative temperature is not limited, and at the working temperature of 180℃ or above, the maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax), coercive force (coercivity), temperature stability and chemical stability are more than NdFeB permanent magnet material. At working temperature above 180℃, its maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax), coercivity (coercivity), temperature stability and chemical stability are more than that of NdFeB permanent magnet material.
Samarium cobalt magnet has strong corrosion and oxidation resistance; so it is widely used in aerospace, defense industry, microwave devices, communications, medical equipment, instruments, meters, various magnetic drives, sensors, magnetic processors, motors, magnetic cranes, etc.
The maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax) of Samarium-cobalt magnets ranges from 16 MGOe to 32 MGOe, with a theoretical limit of 34 MGOe. Samarium-cobalt magnets have two composition ratios of (samarium atoms: cobalt atoms) 1:5 and 2:17 .
